Lawson Paul McCain! Cousin Kylee is the proud new big sister of our newest cousin, Lawson 'Possum. He was born a wee bit early back in April, and we can't wait to see him next week on our BIG trip west. Kisses to the McCains! 

Oh!!!!!....so THAT's what POISON IVY looks like!
The Darwins have learned a wonderful life lesson these past few weeks. Those beautiful large leaves we've been admiring for 3 summers now...you know, the ones that climb way up in the trees and really fill in the back yard to hide the view of the neighbors across the gully?....those were MONSTER poison ivy vines. Crazy vines. We're talking 12 feet up the trees with vines thicker than the handle of a rake. VERY healthy. Since Ray is very allergic to the foliage, I went out and sprayed them heavily with $17 plant killer late last week. This morning I went out with long layers of clothing and hacked and pulled and sprayed some more. Some of it's so high, I couldn't pull it down without losing my footing on the plastic lawn chair and rolling down the cliff, so it'll have to wait for some ladder work. Like I said, valuable life lessons. Take notes, people! 

This picture just SCREAMS summer! We had to talk her out of these goggles. I think she was willing to wear them all day :)
