Wilmington, North Carolina
The Darwins hit the beach one last time as a family of three, although it was quite apparent to all that number 4 was on his/her way. Yes, I wore a swimsuit at 8 months pregnant and nobody tried to roll me back into the water and try to save my life! I must admit, it was a freeing experience. As I told Ray, this is the one "vacation" in probably 6 total years that we didn't have to take any diapers, stroller or special food/milk. It was glorious!

Miranda was a big talker until we got there and it was a little windy and the waves were a little rough. She did manage to have fun in the sand while keeping an eye on that ocean. We also went to the aquarium and had a blast. She knew quite a bit of marine biology from our favorite movie, Finding Nemo. It makes a mama so proud! She was not a fan of the divers, and of course, that made the biggest impact on her. She was eager to touch the fish and horseshoe crab in the touching tank, didn't hesitate to get right up to the glass at the alligator tank, was pointing out snakes and sharks, but couldn't stand to be near the divers in the biggest tank. Go figure.

New Wheels
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
The Darwins are riding in style in our new MINIVAN! Yes, we've crossed that line, and there's no turning back! Truly, it's not like we were SO cool in the Camry, so the fall from grace was a short one.
I love, love, love it! It's a new Town and Country with the Stow 'n' Go seating (everything folds down into the floor and when it's not folded you have tons of storage). It's a pretty silver color and the doors open and close by themselves with the push of a button. Miranda loves her new viewpoint from her seat. It'll be wonderful when "Elvis" arrives. Ray did a wonderful job researching it, and negotiating with the dealership. Finally, after 3 car purchases in our marriage, we feel like we got a fair deal!
Speaking of "Elvis", we had our first EVER birthing class last night. Those of you that know me well (or have ever passed me on the street) know that my water broke on the way to our first class last time. I was a little nervous going into dinner, but am happy to report we had a wonderful meal and made it through the class. It was a review, so everyone had been there, done that. I'm just relieved that I have some idea what all those pillows and the mat are for now. I've been wondering for 3 years!
I have my 32 week appointment tomorrow. I'm exactly one week away from when I had Miranda. I feel great, so I'm hoping for a very boring birth story this time!
